words don't do justice to thoughts.

My Problem With Words

thoughts run wild.
left to right.
up and down.
out the side.
through the back.
problem is, thoughts are silent.
not heard.
not felt.
like a door never opened.
a fence never jumped.
a story never told.
words.
words would be the answer.
simple.
but words are just words.
formulated jumble that comes out.
misunderstood.
i found that words do not express thoughts very well.
you build them up.
or you break them down.
once you say something.
something you've thought and felt for a long time.
once you say it.
it loses its magic.
it loses its power.
it's almost distorted.
foolish.
banal.
a feeling of ridicule.
silence.
now that. that. is fulfilling.
appeasing.
making your own melody.
developing your own story.
jumping your own fence.
opening your own door.
making your own understanding.
silence.
greater than words.
thoughts.
greater than words.
silence and thoughts.
hand in hand.
eyes darkening or lightened.
lips curled up or frowning.
those are greater than words.
so when i sit in silence.
when i say no words.
know.
that my thoughts are infinite.
unexplained. but plentiful.

avec amour,

athina.
